Waking up we look to the left side of our bed, open the curtains and lie in bed watching the sun come up over the ocean! Yea boi! If Joel didn't have so many tools and shed crap, we could definitely live in a place like this!
We decided to just hang around the apartment, check out the Main Street of Airlie and try and find a tour we could do in the next couple of days.
Started off at the lagoon, didn't swim but just sat and enjoyed the serenity. I am sure everyone knows but the lagoon is on the esplanade of Airlie and is a very large lagoon pool right on the beach for everyone to enjoy. Must do when in Airlie!
We had some brekky at a local cafe, spoke to a couple of tour operators to get some ideas of what we wanted to do but our accommodation gives us 10% off all tours so we were going to go back there to book it! Sneaky! Drove out to Shute Harbour and had a look around and decided we would do the three island tour which cruises the Whitsundays from Shute Harbour and stops at Whitehaven Beach, Hook Island & Daydream Island. Don't mind if we do!
Back to the hotel to book our tour for tomorrow... Honestly there is soo many tours it started to get quite confusing, so we settled on this one to give us a chance to see a few islands in the Whitsundays, do some snorkelling (our fav pastime) and the weather has been so fantastic the last week or so so needed to take advantage while we can!
Got Dominoes delivered to our room for dinner...boss!
Early to bed, bus picks us up at 7.30!
