We are a 26 year old couple from the Sunshine Coast, and at the start of the 2012 year we made a big decision to pack up our lives and head around Australia on a 12 month trip.
Since we made the decision we have spent the first six months of this year working hard to save, pay off debts, make extra repayments to loans and buy all the required crap to take with us on our trip!
Before deciding to go around oz we literally had only a small amount of equipment to start us off, we had camping chairs, a camp oven and a sleeping bag. Everything else we have had to buy....
We love fishing, camp cooking and going to new places and decided to head around Australia while we are young and before we have kids. We will have to work at some towns around Australia to keep our trip going for 12 months. Joel is a boilermaker by trade and has a lot of knowledge and experience in the building trade and is looking to work in mining towns and I am happy to spend Joel's hard earned cash haha and do any job that I can source along the way.
We plan to head off after Christmas 2012 and keep friends and family up to date on our trip with this blog.
We will be traveling in our Isuzu Dmax and towing a Jayco campervan.
