Day 61

2 April 2013

Today we got up early to head out of Esperance to a new location. Joel was still a little concerned about the diff in the dmax and we happened to be camping next to a mechanic last night so he had a look for us and it is all good! Thank god! They were lovely people and so friendly and ended up giving us the details of his cousin who lives in Broome and runs a plumbing business. They think he might have work or may know someone looking for workers so could be useful piece of info.

Drove 80 or so kms to a national park here and are staying here for one or two nights, close to water. Went for a walk this arvo to a lookout which was nice.

We have been sleeping on a not so comfy bed layout since we swapped to the caravan and as we are out in the bush and not camped on top of other people we thought this might be the perfect time to change that! The van had an L shape layout with 2 single beds. Today Joel changed that to make a double bed and move the dinette to just across from the kitchen. Joel never ceases to amaze me with his handyman skills, he just pictures something and can just pull it off! I am so looking forward to bed tonight and spreading out on a double bed!!

I did however forget to take a before and after photo so I have done the next best thing...a diagram! Yes I have a lot of spare time! Haha

Got invited to happy hour by the neighbours! Which was nice of them, was at the camp kitchen, BYO and they all just sit around and talk about there travels. 3 out of 5 couples were from QLD! Brisbane and Hervey Bay! They have all been up north so have some valuable advice.

Off to our double bed!

Carly & Joel
