This morning we were undecided about whether to move on from Stokes Inlet or to stay another night. We were originally staying overnight and have already stayed 2. We were running out of clean clothes but the lure of the bream kept us here again today!
We headed over to have a chat to the neighbours this morning as they were going to show us some good places to stay in WA. Camp 6 book in hand and we sat down for a good hour or more talking about where they have been, what they have seen and marked in our book their recommendations. This gave us a good idea of where we would head next as they had friends who had recommended the same place that we had been looking into anyway.
Off for a fish but they just weren't biting so headed back to camp for some lunch.
Lunchtime bought up a discussion about all the things we would do differently if we knew what we know now. I think this list will continue to grow as we go around and I said to Joel maybe that's why people go around 3 or 4 times, because the first time you learn all the shit you do and don't need! Joel reckons he would pretty much do everything differently except the weber!
Afternoon comes, wind picks up a bit so we decide to head down again for some more fishing. For some reason when the wind picks up here the bream are ready to be caught! Joel was hauling them in, little ones, big ones, in between ones! We ended up getting 8 good sized bream!
Then Joel just had to fillet them, with 3 blunt knives to work with, filleting was not a smooth operation! We did meet some people from the Sunshine Coast at the filleting table which was nice!
Fish filleted and we are buggered! Back to van for quick dinner and early night.
