Day 75

Still no calls about jobs and no new ones coming up, nothing in paper. We don't know whether to waste money staying here at $38 a night hoping something comes up or keep going north and hope something will come up there.

Joel is trying to sell the boat at the moment as we just don't use it and it takes up a lot of space! (If you go around Aus take a kayak not a boat) We did find a good use for it today though, we went grocery shopping in a big centre and came out to the car park and you know normally you are like crap where did I park the car? Well not us! When you have a boat on top of your car you don't have this problem, it towers over the rest of the cars! While this is a great plus we decided probably not handy enough to keep the boat for this reason. We have used the boat only a handle full of times, all our fishing has been land based and as we head more into crocodile country I don't think I will be pushing the boat off in a small estuary! More then anything we could really use the space on the roof rack for some of our crap!

We are stocking up with groceries, meat and alcohol before we head north as from what we know everything will be double the price the further we go north. So today was spent shopping again!

Our plan is now to head north to cheaper camps and if we do get a call about jobs we can still easily backtrack to Perth. School holidays starts next week here so we don't have many options and it is going to be expensive! I am super excited about going to Monkey Mia too so I am itching to get closer to that area! Will give us something decent to report on again!

Also got a call about the boat today from a guy in Canarvon who last week had just driven 912km to Perth to pick up a different boat and the guy had sold it on him! We explained that if he can wait we can pretty much deliver the boat to him as we will go straight past there. After speaking with him he owns a banana plantation in Canarvon and said he will give us a big box of bananas when we get there! Haha Joel said thanks mate, how about a job instead? Haha so this guy reckons he will ask around and get back to us if he finds any work for us. Of course wouldn't be counting on it but guess stranger things have happened! Maybe he will let me pick some bananas?! Haha
