Day 66

7 April 2013

This morning we were packing up and heading off to Albany. Joel was really sick last night and woke up in the middle of the night hurling outside of the Van. Not sure if he drank some of the shower water or the combination of coke, beer, noodles and marshmallows that might have sent him over the edge!

Anyway headed off to Albany to the Big 4 there which is about 100 km from Cape Riche. Really nice park, spa, heated pool, games room etc but at a hefty price of $43 a night! We only stayed here as we needed to restock groceries, do masses of laundry as we have totally run out of undies and clothes and charge up all our devices.

We are trying to go bush a bit more than we have been to free or cheap sites to save money but will have to "refuel" at a park every now and again. This is our plan anyway.

Wasn't a nice day here today, drizzly rain and overcast, luckily we had tv to keep us occupied! Spent most of the day chilling out in the van, did some grocery shopping, went on a bit of a tourist drive of the sites. Albany reminds me of Toowoomba but on the water. There is a monument here of sammy the seal who was a seal that came to visit locals on the jetty here and was friendly with a lot of people. The monument was paid for by locals when sammy the seal was brutally killed by somebody (loser, wanker, dickhead, tool, $uckwit etc) in 2006. I said to Joel this is what happens when wildlife trust humans! There is always some dickhead that wrecks it for everyone else! Who would do such a thing!? I hate this story and because I had to hear it, you now have to read about it also. Sorry!

Had a quiet night with all the grey nomads in the park, off again in the morning.
